Local sources informed Voice of Hindukush that the Pakistani Taliban launched an attack on a police convoy near Mubarak Kot Dam in Dera Ghazi Khan district, in southern Punjab.
According to the sources, the clash lasted almost half an hour, during which four Pakistani police officers were killed and several others sustained injuries.
The sources added that a civilian was also wounded by police gunfire during the exchange. The Pakistani Taliban reportedly seized two magazines during the clash.
It is worth noting that attacks by the Pakistani Taliban on security forces in southern Punjab have seen a remarkable increase in recent weeks.
