U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Russian and Ukrainian forces are losing nearly 5,000 soldiers each week, describing the situation as “regrettable.”
“Russia is ready, and we must reach an agreement with Zelensky, but this has proven to be very difficult,” Trump stated.
He added that he seeks an agreement to end the war between Russia and Ukraine in order to save lives, “so that no more blood is shed.”
It is worth noting that President Trump has previously said during his election campaigns that he would bring the war in Ukraine to an end immediately upon taking office.
