Politico reports that all remaining employees of Voice of America (VOA) will receive termination notices this week. In addition to these layoffs, there is a high likelihood that VOA will be shut down after 80 years of operations and broadcasting.

According to the source, the network’s Human Resources Department has informed its employees that termination notices will be sent via email this week.

The report states that following the dismissal of 600 previous employees, approximately 800 more staff members will be laid off in this phase.
