Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nooruddin Azizi, signed a preferential trade agreement with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Laziz Kudratov, on the sidelines of the Tashkent International Investment Forum.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, this agreement will reduce tariffs between the two countries, facilitate trade, and strengthen economic relations.

Both parties also signed a joint Afghan-Uzbek working plan for cooperation in trade, industry, agriculture, and capacity building.

The signing of these documents is considered an important step toward supporting the private sector, boosting investment, expanding regional trade, and enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.
