In its fourth meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Supreme Standards Council approved 57 standards and testing procedures related to petroleum products.

According to a statement from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, these standards cover diesel, petrol, liquefied gas, and stable condensate gas. Their approval is considered an important step toward improving the quality of petroleum products.

During the meeting, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar emphasized that the interim government, through the Supreme Standards Council, aims to establish organized national policies on standards and create a coordinated, transparent, and credible system to benefit all sectors across the country.
