The Press Office of the Khost Police Command says that security forces from Ismail Khil and Mandozai districts have arrested a man who fired gunshots in front of a girl’s house in an attempt to forcibly claim her as his fiancée without her consent or approval.

According to the source, the man was arrested based on Decree No. 395 issued by the leadership of the interim government, which prohibits forced marriages.

The Khost Police Command has also urged local residents that if any family faces such incidents, they should submit a written complaint to the command so that security forces can take action.
