The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum announced that excavation work has commenced on the first block of the Semti gold mine in Chah Ab district of Takhar province.
According to the ministry’s statement, Acting Minister Mullah Hidayatullah Badri said the start of mining operations will create numerous employment opportunities. Additionally, mineral processing will be conducted domestically.
During a meeting with local residents, Mr. Badri assured them that, alongside generating numerous job opportunities, a portion of the mine’s revenues will be allocated to road construction and rehabilitation in the area. https://t.me/V_hindukush
