    Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held a telephone conversation with Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

    According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides discussed bilateral relations, the repatriation of 81 Afghan citizens from Germany, and the recent wave of refugee returns to Afghanistan.

    Muttaqi thanked Qatar for its continued support and expressed hope that the returnees would be able to resume normal lives upon their return home.

    He also affirmed that Afghan diplomats in Germany would provide consular services to Afghan citizens transparently and that upcoming rounds of talks would continue in a constructive manner, For his part, the Qatari Minister of State pledged that Qatar would continue to play a positive role in this regard.

    He added that Qatar is closely monitoring the situation of Afghan refugees and is working with relevant institutions to support the Afghan government in managing the issue effectively.
