In his first interview with Al Jazeera, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian dismissed Western claims, particularly from the United States and Israel; that Iran’s nuclear program will be halted, calling them mere illusions and and unrealistic expectations.
Pezeshkian stated that Iran is fully prepared to respond to any Israeli military action and that its forces have the capability to strike Israel’s strategic targets once again.
He emphasized that Iran will not tolerate threats or coercion in negotiations and insisted that all discussions must be carried out with mutual respect.
Pezeshkian added that Tehran is ready to confront any Israeli move, noting that Israel’s past attempts to change Iran have failed.
Simultaneously, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz acknowledged the potential for renewed conflict with Iran.
Political analysts view the ongoing exchange of accusations between Iranian and Israeli officials as a clear sign of an increased risk of renewed conflicts between the two sides.
