Local sources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa allege that Pakistani police have executed four individuals in staged encounters in the districts of Charsadda and Bannu.

According to reports, the two individuals killed in Charsadda were members of the Pakistani Taliban who had previously been arrested by security forces. They were allegedly removed from detention and later assassinates in a pre-staged fake encounter.

In a similar incident in Bannu, sources claim that police assassinated two more individuals, one a madrassa student and the other a local shopkeeper.

Pakistani police have accused the latter two of being involved in an attack on a checkpoint. However, local sources reject this claim, describing the incident as a fake encounter orchestrated by the authorities.
