    Ministry of Interior: 12-Member Group of Professional Thieves Arrested in Samangan

    Police from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Samangan Provincial Command have arrested a 12-member group of professional thieves during targeted operations in the first district of Aybak, the provincial capital.

    According to the Ministry of Interior, the group includes two adults and ten minors.

    The Ministry said the group was systematically using underage children to carry out thefts in Baghlan, Samangan, and Mazar-i-Sharif, stealing mobile phones, cash, and household belongings.

    The suspects are currently under investigation, authorities confirmed that the suspects will be handed over to judicial and legal authorities upon the completion and formal review of their case files.
