Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has accused the United States of plotting to install a puppet government in Venezuela to gain control over the country’s natural resources, especially its oil and gas reserves.
He stated that the U.S. is currently focusing all its attention on Venezuelan oil and has deployed military forces around the country to further its agenda.
“The United States has plotted to overthrow the Venezuelan government and install its own proxies, securing unfettered access to our oil and gold. That is why U.S. forces are now deployed around our nation,” Maduro said.
He also noted that Venezuela and Russia are close to signing a significant strategic agreement to present a united front against external threats.
Maduro concluded by reaffirming Venezuela’s unwavering commitment to sovereignty, declaring that no foreign power will dictate the country’s future.
