American media have reported that a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the U.S. state of Alaska.
It is said that the epicenter was located in the Yakutat area of the state, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
U.S. officials stated that rescue teams have been dispatched to the area and damage assessment has begun.
There have been no reports of casualties so far.
It is worth noting that Alaska is one of the regions in the United States where earthquakes occur frequently.
