Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, held meetings with representatives from pharmaceutical manufacturers, exporting firms, and traditional medicine associations during his visit to India.

Ministry’s spokesperson Dr. Sharafat Zaman, stated that the discussions centered on exporting high-quality medicines to Afghanistan, addressing pricing and quality standards, exploring investment opportunities, and other related matters.

Mr. Jalali stressed that while Afghanistan currently has adequate access to pharmaceutical resources, prioritizing the availability of affordable, high-quality medicines in the market remains a priority.

Meanwhile, officials from Indian pharmaceutical associations assured that the Afghan market would face no medicine shortages. They noted that India continues to supply high-quality, affordable medicines and expressed their readiness to strengthen cooperation with Afghan authorities in this sector.
