    Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan Move to Deepen Technical Cooperation in the Electricity Sector

    The Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan’s electricity company, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, held talks with the Deputy Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan.

    According to DABS, the discussions covered the company’s organizational structure, the current status of electricity imports, and the progress of the CASA-1000 project inside Afghanistan.

    During the meeting, the Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Energy reaffirmed his country’s commitment to supporting Afghanistan’s power sector, with a particular focus on technical cooperation.

    He also extended an official invitation to DABS officials to visit Kyrgyzstan for an on-site review of the country’s electricity network.

    Both sides underscored their shared commitment to further strengthening technical and professional cooperation in the electricity sector.
