According to the report, the incident occurred on Monday in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio.
The report adds that a person was arrested while fleeing the scene.
It is said that Vance had traveled to Cincinnati for the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Reports indicate that the attacker broke several windows of Vance’s home; however, it has not been confirmed whether he was present at the time of the incident.
U.S. security agencies have stated that investigations are ongoing.
