UN Deputy Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo has stated that the reduction in U.S. aid does not have a significant impact on the United Nations’ operations in Afghanistan.
She made these remarks during an exclusive interview with a media outlet in Kabul while on her three-day visit to Afghanistan.
DiCarlo said that their organization enjoys broad support and that the United Nations has been active in Afghanistan for many years.
These remarks come at a time when the United States has recently ended its relations with several UN agencies and significantly reduced its foreign aid.
