The Iranian Embassy in Kabul announced that Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, held a phone conversation with Afghanistan’s Minister for Borders, and Tribal Affairs, Mawlawi Noorullah Noori, to discuss strengthening bilateral border cooperation.
Both sides acknowledged the progress in their border cooperation and stressed the importance of promptly updating the border markers.
It was further agreed that professional and legal meetings between the two sides should be conducted promptly to strengthen and advance their cooperation.
As part of the agreement, Iran will host the next Afghanistan-Iran border cooperation meeting in the Solar Hijri year 1405.
