The Ministry of Interior has announced that counter-narcotics police personnel, during separate operations, arrested 44 individuals on charges of drug trafficking and sales in the provinces of Farah, Parwan, Nimroz, Helmand, Jawzjan, Paktia, Balkh, Ghazni, Laghman, Kunduz, Kapisa, and Khost.

According to the source, 16 kilograms of opium, six kilograms of hashish, more than nine kilograms of methamphetamine, 2,171 narcotic tablets, and other illicit substances were also seized from the suspects.

It is worth noting that, due to the efforts of counter-narcotics forces, the cultivation and sale of drugs in the country have now nearly reached zero.
