War in itself is not good, but when the territorial integrity, honor, and independence of the country are attacked by foreigners, then war becomes not just an option but a sacred defensive duty. Afghanistan has been a victim of Pakistan’s malicious interventions and direct aggressions for decades, but it has never been given a decisive response. Now that Pakistan has once again carried out airstrikes and clashed over the Durand Line, a comprehensive, historic, and decisive response has been given.

The defensive war of Afghanistan is about preserving the territorial integrity and dignity of the country, while the war of Pakistan is about implementing the American project, evading responsibility, and aggression. While the true sons and guardians of the country are protecting the sacred soil of Afghanistan in the trenches, some infamous figures, like Noor ul Rahman Akhlaqi and other former officials, who are based abroad, are spreading false propaganda against this war and emphasizing the destruction of national unity.

The defensive war of Afghanistan is in no way a war of a group, tribe, or specific individuals but rather a war of defending the national honor against Afghanistan’s historical enemy. When a foreign invader attacks Afghan territory, differences and political conflicts are not taken into account, nor are discussions about the nature of the system raised; instead, there is an attempt to respond to the foreign invasion with one voice. But Noor Rahman Akhlaqi is trying to achieve something else; this argument that this war is not of the people is essentially paving the way for the enemy’s aggression to be legitimized and sowing the seeds of discord among Afghans.

Pakistan has always tried to undermine Afghanistan’s territorial integrity and uses all kinds of pressure to achieve this goal. At such a sensitive time, encouraging the brave youth of a specific province not to defend their country’s borders only serves the strategic goals of foreign powers. The Afghan people have historically proven that no matter how many internal conflicts they have, they always stand united and as solid as steel against foreign invaders.

Exiled political opponents who have been ousted from power, unfortunately, want to create a rift between the nation and the current system due to their personal grudges. Instead of supporting the current defensive resistance for the sake of the national interests of the country, they engage in propaganda that weakens the country’s defensive ranks. But these propaganda efforts are ineffective against the Afghan people’s zeal; accusing this sacred war is merely an unwarranted attempt to alienate the people from their homeland and pave the way for enemy attacks.

The youth from every corner of the country who have come together today to defend the territorial integrity prove that the defense of Afghanistan is a national responsibility. If this war were ethnic, then today, all Afghans from north to south would not rise as one voice against the aggressor. The moral claim that this war is for “maintaining power” is an insult to the thousands of soldiers who stand at the front lines against foreign projects and with the aim of “protecting Islamic land.”

The people consciously stand by their government because they know that the land and geography are their permanent home. The futile efforts of the foreign-based opponents will never weaken the national will of the Afghans. The defense of the country is unconditional, and any voice that opposes this defense is, in fact, paving the way for the enemy’s aggression.
