Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party, has stated that Pakistan is facing serious challenges as a result of conflicts with Afghanistan and India.
He emphasized that Islamabad should reconsider its regional and international policies, because confrontation with neighboring countries is not in Pakistan’s interest, and exchanging accusations and blaming one another does not solve problems.
He also said that the government and the army should gain the trust of the parliament and the Pakistani nation on important national issues, and should not make unilateral decisions.
