Writer and Analyst Abdulsalam Wazirwal: Current Situation Will Soon Lead Afghanistan Toward Full Strength

Writer and analyst Abdulsalam Wazirwal says that Afghanistan’s current situation in some aspects resembles the experiences of the Iran-Iraq war.

According to Wazirwal, during that war, Iran resisted despite severe military and political pressures and was able to maintain its system.

In his analysis, he noted that at that time, Iraq, under Saddam Hussein, launched a war against Iran and tried to take advantage of Iran’s internal changes. However, over the course of the prolonged conflict, Iraq failed to achieve its major objectives, and ultimately Iran emerged successful.

He believes that Pakistan is now also concerned about Afghanistan’s political changes, and some of its actions are seen as forms of pressure. Yet, Afghans, as in past experiences, have the capacity to resist.

Wazirwal emphasizes that although the current situation brings short-term challenges and losses, such circumstances can provide nations with opportunities for awakening, self-reliance, and progress.

He believes that Afghanistan can leverage the present conditions to build a strong and independent future, but this will only be possible if serious attention is paid to stability, the economy, technology, and national unity.
