The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that a mid-level delegation of the Afghan government has arrived in the city of Urumqi, People’s Republic of China, at the invitation of the Chinese government, to hold official talks with the Pakistani side.

The meeting, which is being held under China’s mediation, aims to discuss existing issues between Afghanistan and Pakistan and to find solutions.

The Ministry stated that the Afghan side is participating in these talks based on its principled position and balanced approach, and is seeking to engage in responsible discussions with the other side on good neighborly relations, strengthening trade ties, and the effective management of security issues.

The Afghan side has expressed hope that, based on mutual respect and constructive understanding, this diplomatic engagement will help pave the way for stability and cooperation in the region and lead to practical solutions to the challenges between the two countries.
