    Afghanistan and Uzbekistan Discuss Expanding Pharmaceutical Trade

    The Ministry of Public Health reported that Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, held a meeting with Abdullah Azizov, head of Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, and his delegation.

    According to the ministry, the meeting focused on expanding pharmaceutical trade, facilitating Afghan patients’ travel to Uzbekistan, enhancing the capacity of healthcare workers, implementing the signed memorandum of understanding between the two countries, and encouraging investment in pharmaceutical production in Afghanistan.

    The head of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical authority expressed readiness to cooperate, affirming that Uzbekistan is prepared to collaborate with Afghanistan on drug production, exports, the transfer of technical expertise, and the development of healthcare personnel.
