Local sources report that an explosion struck a Pakistani police transport vehicle in the Shahbaz Khel base area of Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to local security sources of the Pakistani Regime, five police, including one officer, were injured in the blast.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, but Pakistani Taliban fighters are known to be present in the area and have previously claimed responsibility for similar attacks.
It is worth noting that amid the rising intensity of attacks on Pakistani police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, credible sources have also reported incidents of police abandoning their posts.
