Local sources report that Afghan forces launched retaliatory strikes Wednesday evening against a Pakistani militia post in the Tariki Nar area of Dangam district in Kunar province.

According to the sources, Afghan forces employed heavy weaponry during the operation, while no details have been provided regarding casualties on the opposing side.

Earlier in the day, similar retaliatory strikes were also carried out in Paktika and Khost provinces, targeting Pakistani militia positions along the Disputed Durand Line.
