The country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, during which they discussed regional developments and bilateral relations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Araghchi praised the bilateral cooperation between Kabul and Tehran and shared his views with the Afghan side on further strengthening it.
The ministry added that he also shared the latest details regarding the talks between Iran and the United States with his Afghan counterpart.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister described the cooperation between Kabul and Tehran as positive and expressed satisfaction with the growing level of trade between the two countries.
He also described the Iran–U.S. negotiations as constructive and emphasized resolving issues through dialogue.
