According to Arg Palace, the leadership of the Afghan government participated in a two-day seminar held in Kandahar for officials of the Ministry of Finance and also issued key directives during the event.
During the event, the leadership stressed that his responsibility is the implementation of Islamic Sharia, noting that acquiring religious knowledge relevant to each assigned duty is obligatory for those appointed to official positions.
They further stressed that officials should carefully listen to the guidance of religious scholars and uphold their respect, stating that this strengthens the dignity of Islam and constitutes an important duty of state officials.
The leadership also called on Ministry of Finance officials to strengthen their understanding of the protection of the public treasury (Bait-ul-Mal). It was underlined that revenue collection must be managed responsibly, and that public funds should be allocated exclusively to public welfare rather than personal use.
In addition, officials were urged to maintain close engagement with the public, ensure facilitation for those visiting government authorities, and prevent appointments based on anything other than merit. They were also directed to guide their subordinates toward effective, transparent, and accountable performance.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance, deputy ministers, provincial treasury directors, the head of the Central Darul Ifta, the governor of Kandahar, and other local and central officials, who reaffirmed their commitment to the leadership and pledged support for the consolidation of the Islamic system.
