China’s representative to the United Nations has stated that the Strait of Hormuz will be the main focus of talks between Chinese President Xi Jinping and his American counterpart Donald Trump.
He added that Beijing’s view is that the Strait of Hormuz should be reopened as soon as possible.
He said that the ceasefire between Tehran and Washington must be fully maintained, and the international community should take a firm stance against the resumption of conflicts.
