The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing announced that residential plots have been distributed to families affected by the earthquake in Kunar province within a newly constructed township in Shewa district of Nangarhar province.

According to the ministry, the township has been designed in line with a standard urban development plan and includes residential plots, road infrastructure, and essential public services.

The Minister of Urban Development and Housing said the Afghan government is working to strengthen earthquake-affected families and integrate them as active members of society.

He added that the initiative will help these families move from aid recipients to active contributors within their communities.
