The Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints has announced that its moral enforcers have detained a ten-member group of professional beggars in Sarkano district of Kunar province.
According to the ministry, the group was using the travel route between Nangarhar and Kunar, moving in a private vehicle for the purpose of organised begging. It further added that, alongside begging, they were also involved in other illegal and un-Islamic activities.
The ministry further stated that the detained individuals have been referred to judicial and legal authorities for further preceding.
