Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, said that the United States’ “excessive demands and contradictory positions” are the main obstacle to the negotiation process.

He made the remarks during a telephone conversation with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, noting that despite a lack of trust toward the United States, Iran continues to participate in the talks in a responsible and serious manner.

Araghchi stressed that Iran is seeking to achieve a reasonable and fair outcome in its talks with the American side.
