TRT reported that activists detained from the aid ship “Global Sumud” heading toward Gaza have been subjected to severe electric shocks, physical and psychological torture, as well as sexual harassment and humiliation in Israeli detention centers.
The group stated that at least three activists were taken to the hospital due to serious injuries, while dozens of others are suffering from broken ribs and breathing difficulties.
The detainees were reportedly forced into painful and humiliating positions while being transferred to Ketziot Prison. Several female activists also had their hijabs forcibly removed, and they are expected to appear in court on May 21 as part of deportation procedures.
