The Prison Affairs Administration said that, following the approval and endorsement of the Supreme Court, 1,191 prisoners have been released from various prisons across the country.
Sources added that the release process was carried out through a transparent procedure.
The Prison Affairs Administration stated that the purpose of this measure is to allow the released individuals to spend the days of Eid with their families, relatives, and friends.
