In a statement, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its air defense forces targeted and shot down an advanced American “MQ-9” drone inside Iranian airspace.
The statement added that Iran’s air defense also tracked a U.S. “RQ-4” drone and an “F-35” fighter jet, forcing them to leave Iranian airspace.
The IRGC had previously warned that any violation of the ceasefire by the United States would receive a decisive response.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Central Command said on Tuesday that it had targeted an IRGC warship and a missile site in the Persian Gulf, while emphasizing that the ceasefire between the United States and Iran remains in place.
