US President Donald Trump has warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel could be left to face Iran alone if it continues escalating tensions.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, Trump urged Netanyahu to act with caution and refrain from launching retaliatory strikes against Iran.
The report says Netanyahu did not inform Trump of his decision to attack Iran until the final stages and only briefed US Secretary of State Marco Rubio afterward.
It adds that Washington and Tel Aviv remain divided over how to deal with Iran. Trump has stressed that he does not want the current confrontation to escalate into a broader regional war.
