Reuters reported that South Korea plans to submit a proposal to parliament to deploy military personnel and equipment to the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Reuters, Seoul is considering sending a maritime patrol aircraft, a logistics vessel, or a mine-detection and mine-clearing unit to the region by the end of this year.
South Korea’s presidential office said that no final decision has yet been made on deploying forces, but Seoul is in talks with the United States, the United Kingdom, and France regarding possible cooperation.
