It is human nature that whenever they get used to something and benefit from it, it becomes difficult for them to part with it, to break that habit, and to suddenly give up its benefits.
Among all these habits, having “power” is the worst type; because once a person gets used to it, it is very difficult for them to separate from it and they will not want to lean back on the throne of power again.
Those who had long relied on the throne of power in Afghanistan and who faced no opposition or challenge, are now deprived of those opportunities, national blessings, and public wealth. Their lives have been turned upside down, and they do not know what to do.
When they look back at their past and take pride in their dark record, without considering how much they wronged their own nation during that long period and how much they sacrificed the blood of their compatriots for the purposes and goals of the occupiers, and instead, look at their current situation where they are only labeled as “opposition,” they feel regret and sorrow and again long for that same dark past, and even now, they have not come to their senses.
Holding meetings, conferences, and consultative sessions to create new mechanisms for taking control of the current situation is the remnants of the same dark and detested past thinking and rationality that still want to come to power again by swaying back and forth and attracting the attention of foreign occupiers, and to continue and perpetuate the same ruin they had created in Afghanistan.
But this time, the story is different, and the situation is not like before where they could just hold a meeting or give a conference, take control again, and everything would return to the way it was. That’s why meetings, gatherings, and conferences never yield results. Whenever such individuals have gathered and sought to reach an agreement and unity, it has been observed that the situation has worsened even more, with disputes and disagreements echoing from all sides.
The reason such individuals were able to continue coexisting peacefully in the past was that each of them had sufficient financial support from foreigners, which was enough for them, and they did not need to encroach on the interests and benefits of others.
But today, when they can no longer exploit what they had in the past, they are forced to clash with each other and argue among themselves so that at least the one who can rise higher can be identified, benefit from greater advantages, and become the talk of the media.
Therefore, with the exposure of their dark record over the past few years since they fled, it became as clear as day to everyone that they not only did not serve Afghanistan and the Afghan people in the past and did not leave behind a valuable legacy, but during all this time, they were only thinking about accumulating wealth for themselves and their families and preparing for the day when their palace of power would collapse.
Today is the day they were fleeing from and could not even dream of; but the truth is nothing but what everyone sees and feels before their eyes today. In the meantime, it is only disgrace and infamy that have caught up with them.
From now on, no matter how hard they try and no matter how many different titles and names they use to sit around the tables of conferences and unity meetings, they will never be able to take a positive step forward or attract any attention toward themselves. Especially, the noble people of Afghanistan have become aware of their true nature and will never again look upon them positively, nor will they ever trust them again, as they have previously abused that trust.
