The Ministry of Public Health has announced that a delegation led by the ministry’s Deputy Minister for Food and Drugs, Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, met with officials of the Hamdard pharmaceutical manufacturing company in New Delhi, India.
According to the ministry, the meeting focused on the development of traditional and Unani medicine, the professional training of Afghan medical practitioners, online learning, and short-term specialized courses.
The two sides also discussed organizing practical workshops in Hamdard’s laboratories.
The company’s officials expressed interest in investing in pharmaceutical production in Afghanistan, in addition to establishing free medical camps across the country.
