The media office of the Kandahar governor’s office said in a statement that Governor Mullah Mohammad Shir Mohammad Akhund, speaking at a regular meeting of the provincial administrative council, urged government officials to complete people’s requests even after official working hours if visitors are still waiting, and not postpone today’s work until tomorrow.
The governor said serving the public is an important part of the responsibility entrusted to officials by Allah and urged them to handle people’s affairs properly and efficiently.
He also called on officials to appoint trustworthy and honest individuals to committees and commissions. He further instructed that government employees’ conduct and appearance should conform to the Prophetic Sunnah.
