The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated on its X account that it summoned Pakistan’s Chargé d’Affaires in Kabul and handed him a strong letter of protest regarding the infiltration of elements of “evil and corrupt” groups and members of ISIS across the Hypothetical Durand Line toward Kamdesh District of Nuristan.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 13 Rabi’ al-Thani 1448 AH, a number of armed elements of the “evil and corrupt” groups and members of ISIS, with the direct assistance and guidance of the Pakistani military regime, attempted to cross from the other side of the Hypothetical Durand Line toward Kamdesh. Afghan government security forces prevented the attempt.
The Ministry says that providing armed groups with opportunities for recruitment, training, and equipment in areas under Pakistan’s control, and then directing them toward this side of the Durand Line, constitutes a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty. It warned that Pakistan would bear responsibility for the continuation of such actions.
