Tasnim News Agency has reported that US officials told NBC News that the US military has reduced the number of its forces in various parts of West Asia in recent days.
According to the report, changes have been made to the level of US military presence and deployment at some regional military facilities. However, the exact number of troops withdrawn, the locations from which they were withdrawn, and their potential destinations remain unclear.
The changes come amid ongoing concerns over the US military presence and troop deployments in the region, particularly in light of the conflict with Iran and potential threats to US military installations.
According to the report, US media outlets had previously reported on potential Pentagon plans to reduce the US military presence in the Gulf region and rebuild military bases damaged during the conflict with Iran. However, it remains unclear whether the current troop reduction is a temporary security measure or the beginning of a long-term shift in US military strategy in the region.
