Aafia Siddiqui’s lawyer, Clive Smith, stated that the Pakistani military pocketed $55,000 from the U.S. CIA in exchange for her.
According to reports, Smith responded to a user on X, stating that the CIA paid the Pakistani military $55,000 in exchange for Aafia Siddiqui.
He condemned the Pakistani military’s action as disgraceful, noting that as a result, Aafia was tortured, mistreated alongside her children, and a breastfeeding infant breastfeeding lost their life.
