    Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Meets with Uzbek Delegation

    The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has announced that its acting minister, Mullah Hidayatullah Badri, met with a delegation from Uzbekistan. During the meeting, Badri emphasized efforts to encourage both domestic and foreign investors to invest in the country’s mining sector.

    According to the ministry’s statement, the Uzbek delegation was led by Behzod Mermudov, an advisor to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Geology and Mining. The discussions focused on the Tuti Maidan gas project and the Khwesh iron ore mine in Maidan Wardak province. The delegation also sought cooperation from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.

    Mullah Hidayatullah Badri welcomed the Uzbek delegation’s interest and assured them of the necessary cooperation.
