Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense says the country’s air force has carried out an airstrike on a joint center belonging to the ISIS group and “group of evil and corruption” in the Sarananom area of Pishin district, Balochistan.

According to the ministry, the facility was used to plan sabotage activities and attacks inside Afghanistan, as well as to coordinate bombings targeting civilians.

The ministry also stated that successful airstrikes were conducted against an ISIS facility in the Qambar Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and another joint center of ISIS and the “group of evil and corruption” in the Garm Chashma area of the Shah Salim Valley in Chitral.

According to the ministry, the strikes inflicted heavy casualties and significant material losses on ISIS members, the “group of evil and corruption,” and their supporters.

The ministry added that the operations were carried out with a high degree of precision against designated targets and that no civilians were harmed.

The Ministry of Defense emphasized that Afghanistan’s air defense forces will continue to target any location used to undermine the country’s security.
