The Afghan government’s central spokesperson, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, announced that the leadership has ordered a series of new appointments within the Islamic Army.
According to Mujahid, Mullah Abdul Wakil Munib, the former deputy commander of the 209 Al-Fath Corps, has been appointed commander of the 219 Omar Thalith Division, while the division’s former commander, Mullah Azizullah Haqyar, has been appointed deputy commander of the 209 Al-Fath Corps.
He added that Mawlawi Ghulamullah, the former commander of the 11th Border Brigade of the 209 Al-Fath Corps, has been appointed deputy commander of the 219 Omar Thalith Division. Meanwhile, Qari Abdul Wasil Nazari, the former deputy commander of the 219 Omar Thalith Division, has been appointed commander of the 11th Border Brigade of the 209 Al-Fath Corps.
