Today, Afghanistan’s Minister of National Defense, Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob, met with Chinese Ambassador Zhao Sheng in Kabul.
The Ministry of National Defense stated that the meeting focused on deepening Afghanistan-China relations, boosting security cooperation, and addressing recent regional developments.
Mr. Yaqoob noted that Afghanistan’s security is vital for regional stability and stressed that dialogue remains the best approach to resolving challenges.
He stated that the Afghan government is committed to restraint, mutual respect, and understanding, while maintaining that protecting the country against any aggression is both a legitimate right and a national duty.
The meeting also stressed the importance of mutual understanding, strengthening regional partnerships, and building trust between the two sides.
