A high-level delegation from the interim government, led by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, has arrived in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The delegation includes several cabinet members and representatives from sectoral authorities.
Upon arrival at Tashkent International Airport, the delegation was welcomed by Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjayev, the country’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Ismatullah Irgashev, and Afghanistan’s ambassador to Uzbekistan, Sheikh Abdul Ghafar Bahr.
