A recent report by Indian Express newspaper reviewed the evolving trade relations between Afghanistan and India, quoting the Indian Ministry of Commerce. The report highlights that exports from Afghanistan to India have reached an all-time high, while imports from India have dropped to their lowest level.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, Afghan exports to India hit a peak of $642.29 million in the 2023 and 2024 fiscal years. On the other hand, Indian exports to Afghanistan have dropped to their lowest point in the past 16 years.

This development comes amid significant positive changes in political, economic, and trade relations between the two countries. Furthermore, it is expected that Afghanistan’s embassy in New Delhi will soon be handed over to Afghanistan’s interim government.
