Security sources told Voice of Hindukush that this evening Afghan forces launched retaliatory attacks on Pakistani militia posts across the disputed line in the Nawapas area of Sarkano district, Kunar province.
The sources added that, so far, one post of the Pakistani regime has been struck and set on fire during the attacks.
According to the information, heavy weapon attacks by Afghan defense forces on Pakistani posts are still ongoing.
This comes as the Pakistani military regime, on one hand, calls for negotiations through Chinese mediation, while on the other hand continues shelling civilians along the Disputed Line.
According to security sources, due to this double-sided approach by the Pakistani regime, defense forces are also carrying out retaliatory attacks on Pakistani militias and holding them accountable for their actions.
